When I first imagined this book, it was intended to be a compilation of encouragements and stories and devotionals that I wrote for Infuze Magazine years ago. I'm known for fiction; this would be an anthology of my nonfiction--out-of-print nonfiction not available anywhere else.

But... as I plunged into the work, my runaway imagination took over, and I found myself dreaming bigger and bigger...

I soon realized that updates were needed for many of those archival writings. Time offers new perspectives. I've learned and changed a great deal in 20 years.

So there are additions, amendments, continuations, and (hopefully) the wisdom that only time brings.

3. VERSES

Since I sought to encourage, I decided to include Bible verses that would speak to and uplift people where they are. Dozens of family members helped me decide on over 100 Scripture passages. Each verse is uniquely formatted and placed on a one-of-a-kind image...

4. SCRIPTUREFRAMES

I wanted each Bible verse to be displayed over a stunning photo, but found myself frustrated that the available pics never suited my needs. I turned to Adobe Firefly, an A.I. image generator, to create composites. (Firefly's sources are public domain and ethically-paid photographers.)

The results speak for themselves: sumptuous, eye-popping visuals that look 100% real, many of them composites based on real locations, but pieced together in ways that allowed me to control the angles, the lighting, the composition, even the camera lenses.
